Executor vs. Personal Representative of an Estate: What is the difference?

An Executor of an Estate is a person who has been appointed by a Last Will and Testament (“Will”) to administer an Estate.

A Personal Representative on the other hand is a person who has been appointed by a court to administer an Estate in cases where there is no Will.

At Brett Legal, we routinely represent Executors/Personal Representatives of Estates and assist them in carrying out their duties during the probate administration process.
